Kevin Bynoe

Public Relations Specialist

 

Kevin Bynoe manages the media outreach and public relations and communications functions for General Motors’ Diversity Communications, Marketing and Advertising departments. His contributions and client service have contributed to added awareness and positive impressions of General Motors and their products.

With over 8 years in the automotive industry Bynoe has developed numerous contacts within the auto industry and in the press. Kevin is a member of the Motor Press Guild, the Public Relations Society of America, and the National Association of Black Journalists.

Kevin is a graduate of Clark Atlanta University with a Bachelor of Arts in English.

Kevin L. Davis is a native Detroiter educated in the Detroit Public School System and also a product of Eastern Michigan University. While studying as Communication Technology major, Kevin was exposed to many facets of communication. He is the owner and Director of Crush Media Group a Detroit-based photography, graphic design, and event promotions company.

 Kevin is the father of two boys Kian and Kameron and enjoys photography in his free time. Some of his affiliations include; Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated, Beta Kappa Phi Professional Fraternity, Incorporated, Prince Hall Mason, Eastern Michigan University Black Alumni Chapter, and Michigan Democratic Party.

Kristina Orr

Marketing Communications Professional

 

Kristina Orr is a Marketing Communications professional with over 10 years of experience in Integrated Marketing Communications. She has worked in all facets of marketing and public relations, including creating marketing plans, managing events, and developing and nurturing relationships. Most recently as the Marketing Director at Cobo Center, Orr worked to sell Cobo Center and the City of Detroit as a desirable meeting and travel destination. Orr is a graduate of Wayne State University, possessing a Master of Arts in Public Relations and Organizational Communication, and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing.

Wendy Cyrus-Herndon

Operations Manager, Millennium Centre

 

Wendy Cyrus-Herndon has nine years of experience in television media, event coordinating and project management.  She was senior project manager with various nonprofit organizations, assisting in creative design, event coordinating, and media and publicity direction.  She has worked at Global Television, Citytv and CBC Windsor in Canada as a reporter and associate director before relocating to Michigan in 2002.

Locally, Cyrus-Herndon worked as project manager on accounts developing creative and strategic concepts. She launched her own business in March 2003. Cyrus-Herndon is currently the Operations Manager at the Millennium Centre in Southfield were she runs day-to day operations, staffing and event bookings.

 Cyrus-Herndon graduated with a post-graduate degree in journalism from Humber College, Toronto, Canada.

 Donyale R. Griffin, Ph.D.

Professor, Wayne State University/President, Net Results Communications LLC.

Donyale R. Griffin is a communications professional with over 10 years of progressive experience in public relations and strategic communications planning. Her career includes work in government, higher education, and publishing. Her most recent professional experience includes serving as president of her own communications consulting firm Net Results Communications, LLC. Her company specializes in professional development training for businesses and individuals across the communications industry. 

Dr. Griffin balances her professional career with an active academic career as a college professor. She currently teaches full time in the Communications Department at Wayne State University, where she has served since 2002. 

Dr. Griffin holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and a master's degree in organizational communication and public relations from Wayne State University. She also holds a Ph.D. in rhetoric and intercultural communication from Howard University. She serves on the Board of the Journalism Institute for Minorities scholarship program at WSU.
